This weekend was Canadian Thanksgiving Weekend (for those of you who don't know, we celebrate American Thanksgiving too). What a fun weekend. Shelby came home from college, and stayed with us, and helped snuggle the babies while I cooked my very first turkey. The food was awsome, everything turned out great. It was nice having the family all together for a dinner. :)
I have so much to be thankful for! I am very thankful that my family is healthy again, after the nasty flu bug we got. Everyone down to the baby was sick for almost a whole week. I have an amazing family, and extended family that is here to support us every step of the way. I am very thankful that we are lucky enough to have family that is willing to help out surrounding us.
Rowan is being a very good baby. He usually goes to bed around 11pm, and sleeps for 4hrs straight. Then he wakes up, nurses, get a bum change, and is right back to sleep for another 3hrs. Then he wakes up, nurses, get a bum change, and is right back to sleep for another 2hrs. 9hrs of sleep I can deffinately deal with :) Ashlyn sleeps in till 9ish, so I am getting lots of sleep. Ashlyn is doing amazing having a little brother. She is so helpful, even though she is only 20 months old. She's starting to talk in sentences. It's so amazing.
I have to tell this Ashlyn story. The other night Daniel was getting her bottle ready, and I asked her to find her sucky and blankie. She did, clueing in it was bedtime. She waved to me and said "Nigh-Nigh" and headed off to bed (which isn't unusal, Ashlyn likes to go to bed, and often puts herself there when she is tierd.) She went in her room, and ditched her bankie, came back running around the corner with the biggest grin on her face, and said "good morning!!!". It was soo freaking cute. I love that kid.
Well here are some pictures from this weekend. Next weekend we are having Thanksgiving with Daniels side of the family, so more pictures to come!
