Christmas

Christmas will be summed up in one word for my kidlets this year. SPOILED!!! They are deffinately not lacking in gifts this year. The tree is already stuffed full of presents, and there are more to come. We will have a lot of people here on Christmas morning. I am very excited to see how Ashlyn reacts to the opening of gifts :) I am also excited to see our neice Zoe, who is only 5 weeks older than Rowan! Last time I seen her, she was only 6 weeks old, now she will be 4.5 months! Also, all dannys cousins will be up, As well as Marina. Not very often everyone is together like that!

We had a rather big even here today. My nephew Ayeden James turned the big 1! He is getting to be such a big boy. I can't beleive he is already a year old. I had the pleasure of being in the delivery room when he was born, as well as now babysitting him since the begining of November when his mom went back to work, so I am pretty close with this little guy. I know him inside out, as well as I know my own children. I can't believe he is already a year old. Ayeden's stats are: 22lbs, 6 teeth, and not yet walking. It was just a few days after he was home from the hospital that I requested my pregnancy books back from his mom, as I had just found out I was preggo with Rowan... geesh that seems like it was just yesterday!

Well we got lots of snow here now :) the doggies and kiddies are enjoying romping around in it. Ashlyn loves nothing more than to get all bundled up and play in the snow or go for a sled ride. Rowan would prefer not to get his snow suit on, but he always has a big sleep afterwards, so I think its worth it! He He He. Sometimes I even get a nap in after! A rarety!

I am not enjoying this weather. Makes driving miserable. By the time I pack 3 kids in carseats, 2 diaperbags, 3 kids snowsuits, hats mits and sets of boots, extra blankets, and my own snow gear, there isnt much room for anything else.

1 huges batch of Bananna bread, 3 pans of better than chocolate bar squres, 1 pan of matramony cake, 1 pan of reece squares, 1 batch or maccaroons (that didnt turn out so great), 2 batches of snowballs, 2 batches of melting moments. 4 batches of chocolate chip cookies, and 8 batches of butter tart squares later, I am finally finish our Christmas Holiday baking. I have to thank my mom, who spent 5 full days cleaning up her kitchen behind me, as I baked, as well as my kids who were amazing during the whole process. Of course, the weather had to hit -40 c for 3 of my 5 baking days. My poor kids got drug out in that weather, traveled an hr, spent all day at gramma's, and traveled an hr back to Dawson. They were such troopers. All 3 of them! :)

Well I think that is all for now. I will try and update and let you all know how Christmas was! I will have pictures next time too!
Much love:

10 long weeks

This saturday will make 10 weeks since Rowan joined our family! I can't beleive time went by so fast!!! He is a pretty good baby, usually pretty content. He usually sleeps a good 7hr chunk at night before getting up to nurse. The last few nights he has been nursing non-stop. He must be going through a growth spurt; it makes for one tierd mommy!!

Recently, I have started daycare with my 11 month old nephew. He is here most week days. I am ejoying having all the time in the world to spend with him. He gets along really well with my other daycare boy (Kalyb) and Ashlyn loves having Ayeden around. She is very helpful when everyone is here too. She loves to fetch diapers, unload the dishwasher (well pass me the clean dishes), and throw stuff in the garbage. She also takes toys to the Ayeden and Rowan, who aren't mobile enough to get their own!

I am getting very excited for the up comming holiday!!! Christmas truely is my favorite time of the year. Next weekend I am going to be pulling out the decorations, and getting a tree! I've already started shopping, and am about half done. Mom and I have made out baking list, and figured out how much ingredience we will need. We will be starting the bake sessions soon! :) :) This year Christmas morning and supper are at my house! This is a big change from usually having it on the farm, but we decided with everyone being in Dawson, it was easier to get Mom and Dad and Linc to come to Dawson. No travelling on crappy roads for us. That's good becuase that means we are able to spend Christmas evening with Daniels family :) Last year it was a big rush and Ashlyn was soooo cranky. We didn't enjoy it at all.

Well not really anything else to talk about...
TA TA for Now!!!!

Quick Update

Just a quick update... I currently dont have a computer. :( My desktop is at a friends house. He is trying to get it a wee bit more functional, and isnt having much success. My sisters home for the weekend, so I have access to her laptop! Well we had halloween, a first bath together, and our first snowfall/sled ride. Ashlyns good, and Rowan is growing up so fast. He is 7 weeks today, and weights a whopping 15lbs! Mommy makes good milk! I did want to add a couple pics to show what we have been up to lately, and those of you on facebook can check out my video.

Dissapointment

Ugh! Things haven't been overly great here the last little while. One reason.. my laptop has bit the dust :( I loved that laptop! I could sit in the living room upstairs, and be online. I didn't have to come down here to the family room to use the desktop, which is old and decrpit. :( R.I.P laptop!

The other reason... both kids and myself have colds :( Ashlyn went to the farm last week and spent a couple days with my parents. My little brother had a cold. That's where it came from. My poor sick little ones. They are both currently passed out.

Other than that, not much is happening. Thanksgiving dinner with Dannys Fam got cancelled due to the host being sick also. We are looking forward to Halloween. We are taking the kidlets down to the pioneer museum where they are putting on a shindig for the kids. They still get candy, but there are fun and games and whatnot. My babies are a bit to young to enjoy it, but I thought it might be a fun way for us to do Halloween as a family. There are still key people we need to go pay a trick-or-treating visit to.
Here are some pics & video of the babes.

A Semi smile from the little man, who was looking at hiself in the mirror, thinking, DAMN, I look gooooood!

The first smile I was able to capture... I love his smiles, they help make my world keep turning, and my heart keep beating.

I love this picture... this is the mirror in his crib.

Thanksgiving Weekend

This weekend was Canadian Thanksgiving Weekend (for those of you who don't know, we celebrate American Thanksgiving too). What a fun weekend. Shelby came home from college, and stayed with us, and helped snuggle the babies while I cooked my very first turkey. The food was awsome, everything turned out great. It was nice having the family all together for a dinner. :)

I have so much to be thankful for! I am very thankful that my family is healthy again, after the nasty flu bug we got. Everyone down to the baby was sick for almost a whole week. I have an amazing family, and extended family that is here to support us every step of the way. I am very thankful that we are lucky enough to have family that is willing to help out surrounding us.

Rowan is being a very good baby. He usually goes to bed around 11pm, and sleeps for 4hrs straight. Then he wakes up, nurses, get a bum change, and is right back to sleep for another 3hrs. Then he wakes up, nurses, get a bum change, and is right back to sleep for another 2hrs. 9hrs of sleep I can deffinately deal with :) Ashlyn sleeps in till 9ish, so I am getting lots of sleep. Ashlyn is doing amazing having a little brother. She is so helpful, even though she is only 20 months old. She's starting to talk in sentences. It's so amazing.

I have to tell this Ashlyn story. The other night Daniel was getting her bottle ready, and I asked her to find her sucky and blankie. She did, clueing in it was bedtime. She waved to me and said "Nigh-Nigh" and headed off to bed (which isn't unusal, Ashlyn likes to go to bed, and often puts herself there when she is tierd.) She went in her room, and ditched her bankie, came back running around the corner with the biggest grin on her face, and said "good morning!!!". It was soo freaking cute. I love that kid.

Well here are some pictures from this weekend. Next weekend we are having Thanksgiving with Daniels side of the family, so more pictures to come!

Fall

I apologize for not blogging for a very long time!! It's kind of a funny story. I forgot the email address that I picked for this account. Then one day someone emailed me a joke, that they had also emailed to my google account, and presto! I was able to sign in!

So here we are at fall. Baby Rowan has made his grand entrance, Ashlyn's almost 21 months old, Danny's still working hard at Gerry's, and I am enjoying being a mommy to two. They keep me busy! I am also caring part time for a 3 year old girl, and a 1 year old boy. :) The extra money is nice, and Ashlyn enjoys the playmates....most of the time! HA HA!

Ashlyn is getting so big! She has started talking in two word sentences now! Her favorite color is yellow, her favorite animal is a dinosour, and she loves her little brother. He is always the first thing she asks about when she gets up... just making sure he is still here. If he cries, she makes sure I know, and am going to go make him happy. She really enjoys helping bath him, but she can`t understand why his ``peepee`` sticks out instead of in like hers... she always tries to correct this little problem! HA HA!

Shel's moved out. *sniff sniff* She's all off to college and growing up! I am very proud of her, even though we all miss her here. I know she has to have her own life, and get an education, and that I can't keep her here locked away forever!

This weekend is Canadian Thanksgiving, and this year its going to be at my house. I'm a little unsure if I will be able to get everything organized and cooked in time, so Shelby is coming to help me :) Ashlyn will enjoy having her around, and I will appreciate the extra help for the weekend. Not Sure if Danny`s working the weekend or not yet.

Here are a few pictures for your enjoyment!

Spring has Sprung!

Well March proved to be eventful. Mom's first litter of Shelties were born, Ashlyn started walking, I am more pregnant (16.5 weeks now to be exact) and feeling/starting to look it, had a dispute with our neighbour, and Marina came up. The best thing in my opinion that has happened, was winter started to break, and Spring Sprung!!!!! I even have some tulips poping up in the flowerbed! It was a long winter, and I am glad its over! Finally. I can't wait to get out there and play with Ashlyn. We plan on either buying or building a sandbox, as well as fencing the front yard. I can't wait to take her to rotary lake; it will be an absolute blast this year with her! Last year she wasn't so sure what to think about it!

Easter was awsome. Lots of family around that we haven't seen in a while, which was nice. I had a ham here, and my side of the family came for dinner. We visited lots with Danny's side, as many of his cousins came home for the holiday. It was nice to see everyone again! Ashlyn did really well, and didn't get to shy around everyone, for a change. Here are a few more pictures from the last week or so to feed all of your need!! lol...
Easter dress... i found it at the childrens place in the grande prairie mall! I love that store, i wish we had one here in dawson!

My little diva, checkin herself out in the mirror!! She actually LOVES sun glasses! She will wear them 24/7 if you let her!

The Past Week Or So...

2nd Baby Buchan @ 11 weeks, 2 days.
This is such a cool pic, cuz if you know what you are looking at, you can see the nose, teeth buds, spine, arms, and legs. I drank coffee before my ultrasound, which made for an awsome ultrasound. Baby was moving like crazy! But it didn't make for great pics... they are pretty blurry, cuz baby was moving...he he he

So here are some pictures of this week that I couldn't resist sharing!!! I love my little girl, she is so so cute! This week Ashlyn learned to walk. Actually, mostly today she learned to walk long distances. She was taking steps before her birthday, and would would only walk between people with lots of encouragement. Now she is using walking as a mode of transportation. She can walk quite a ways, but still falls all the time. She will get the hang of it more though, by this time next week, she'll be walking circles around me. They learn so fast, its amazing!

This week, I also took Ashlyn's sucky away. My main reason behind it was because I was getting up 7-8 times a night to "re-plug" her. It was annoying, especially since up untill she was 10 months old, she was an awsome little sleeper. She always took good long naps, and never woke up at night for her sucky. It was the odd time that I would have to nurse her, or give her a bottle during the night right from day one. It scared me to think that I have a baby on the way and my 13.5 month old was getting up 7-8 times a night. I had a convorsation with my cousin Joelle about it, and she suggested I take it away and see what happens. So I was debating whether or not it was time to take it away when I went to a birthday party. There was a little girl that was 3 there, walking around with a sucky in her mouth. I didn't want my kid to be the kid that was 3 and still had a sucky. The first day, she didn't nap till she was so exhasted she could help but sleep. That night was pretty rough, but she did pretty good for her first night. Yesterday was day 2. She went down for both her nap and bed time with out crying!!!! Lastnight she only woke up 2 times, cried for 5 minutes and went back to sleep. She slept till 9! WOOT WOOT. I think she was ready to give it up, and thats why it wasn't so difficult.

These 2 pictures are from getting ready to go to her friend Linden's
1st birthday party.

I love her expression in this pic, it's so her!

My Little Cindy Lou Who!

My Nephew Ayeden rolling over. He was 2 months in this video.

I finally got a clip of my baby girl walking! Took me all day to get!
Well I hope you are all enjoying my blog, and getting a peek into our family!
Bye for another day,
Chelsea

Growing Up

My little baby is growing up! Last night Ashlyn didn't want to eat her supper, so to get her interested, I gave her the spoon. I showed her how to use it. She did pretty well. It was messy, but it got more food in her than I could have. She was so proud of herself that she was using to spoon! She had a little bit of trouble getting the food on the spoon, but had no problems getting it to her mouth. I can't beleive how big she is getting!

At 13 months old, Ashlyn still isn't walking. Not that she can't. She can actually walk lengthwise accross out living room, she just still prefers to crawl. Thats ok with mommy. If I can keep her a little more baby for a little while longer, I will.

The last little while I have just been enjoying my little baby. I am taking advantage of all the cuddles, and giggles, and grins now, while its just me and her. It hasn't been me and her since she was 2 months old. I only have about 6 months left with just her and I and I tend to take advantage of it.

Which brings me to my pregnancy. I have had about 4 days in a row where I haven't been sick! There are still moments, but they are pretty few and far between. I've cut down to one diclectine instead of four!!! This is the first time that I have been pregnant and not puking...WOW!!! It gives me hope that we may be able to have another one. We had pretty much made the decision that this was going to be the last, but only becuase of how sick I get. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the rest of this pregnancy goes well! I am 11 and 1/2 weeks already. Wow, time flies by. By this time next week, I will be into my second trimester!!!! Also, baby is considered a fetus now :)

I learned a week ago about, that I am am going to be an Auntie again!!! Daniels brother and his wife are expecting! Jen is about 5 weeks ahead of me. 2 babies in the family so close together!!!!! That means our baby is actually Grandbaby number 3 on both sides!!! Ashlyn was the first!

Well, its time for me to go. Milo has a bath appointment I need to take him too, and Ashlyn a doctors appointment!!

Chow for now!
